Jeff Klotz is the Founder and CEO of The Klotz Group of Companies, a vertically integrated private equity platform. Since 1995, along with its principals and affiliates, The Klotz Group have completed over 40 ground-up development projects, owned / operated over 50,000 multifamily units, and sponsored or co-sponsored over $2 billion of invested assets. Jeff and his team accomplished this by employing as many as 1,100 employees at the firm’s peak.
He is also a Managing Partner at AmveStar Capital, the investment sponsor / investment management subsidiary of The Klotz Group. In addition, he is a Managing Partner at BR4 Klotz Fund Manager, LLC, the GP of the BR4 Klotz Fund, LP, a discretionary private equity limited partnership focused on multifamily real estate in the Southeast and Texas. Jeff holds various real-estate related licenses, including being a registered broker in multiple Southeastern states.
Nikkolas “Nik” Hillberg serves as Chief Financial Officer at The Klotz Group, bringing over two decades of experience in finance, accounting, and asset management within the commercial real estate industry, including student housing, multifamily, and retail. His responsibilities span across executive leadership, financial strategy / stewardship, cash management, and portfolio-level analysis. Nik also oversees financial due diligence, compliance, and reporting.
His experience includes participating in initial public offerings, capital markets, and economic viability assessments. A military and police veteran from Hollywood, Florida, Nik’s experience is invaluable in managing acquisitions, dispositions, and the financial orchestration of large commercial real estate transactions.
Christopher Lee serves as the Chief Legal Officer for The Klotz Group. Chris brings over 15 years of comprehensive legal experience to the role, overseeing all legal and compliance functions of the company. He provides strategic legal advice to the CEO and executive team in furtherance of expanding the company’s portfolio and optimizing investment returns. Chris also provides guidance on risk management strategies and works with outside counsel when required.
Previously, Chris was a partner in the Jacksonville office of one of America’s largest firms where he primarily represented plaintiffs in complex business disputes, achieving millions of dollars in settlements and trial victories. Prior to that, he was the managing director of one of Delaware’s oldest and most reputable law firms where he was a litigation partner and oversaw firm operations.
Andrew Hagaman is a Vice President at the The Klotz Group. He is primarily responsible for managing lending relationships, structuring capital stacks, and leading the investment process of various acquisitions and development projects.
Previously, Andrew was with CBRE’s Boca Raton based Debt and Structured Finance team. Working across multiple asset classes for institutional and private clients, his primary responsibility was to lead and manage the underwriting and due diligence efforts with Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, CMBS Lenders, life companies, and national banks. Andrew joined CBRE from his similar role at Marcus & Millichap Capital Corporation. Additionally, Andrew worked for Office Depot, Inc., where he managed their daily global cash position exceeding one billion dollars. He also held various roles at The State of Florida.
He is the founder and operating manager of The Klotz Group of Companies, a vertically integrated & comprehensive private equity real estate investment platform operating in over 20 States throughout the US. During high school, Klotz started an investment real estate business purchasing single-family properties.
